Overview
A thorough and fast paced introduction to the fundamentals of programming in the PERL programming language. The course will guide students through the syntax and practical application of PERL, which is especially useful to System Administrators, Web Developers, Systems Integrators, and Application Programmers. This course in conjunction with PRL-200: Advanced PERL Programming Topics provides a solid foundation in the world of PERL. This is an excellent introduction into the world of programming for those students with little practical programming experience too!


Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with basic UNIX administration tasks and tools. A reasonable understanding of shell scripting is a plus.
