The first Security Certified Program (SCP) security course is a vital course for any network technician who has even the slightest privileged access to a network. This five day instructor-led course is designed to help students gain not only the required critical knowledge, but the security skills to utilize that knowledge in defending their network perimeters.

The SCNS exam is designed to validate the critical skills required by IT and security professionals. These skills include, but are not limited to: Network Defense Fundamentals, Advanced TCP/IP, Routers and Access Control Lists, Designing Firewalls, Configuring Firewalls, Configuring Virtual Private Networks, Designing Firewalls, Configuring Firewalls, Configuring an Intrusion Detection System and Securing Wireless Networks.

Prerequisites: To ensure your success, we recommend that you have CompTIA’s Security + certification, or have equivalent experience. This course assumes that the reader has fundamental working knowledge of networking concepts, and foundational security knowledge.
